Fox Through the Ages
1985
Fox Energy Specialists originally began as the energy consulting division of its parent company, The Nelrod Company. Since 1985, The Nelrod Company has provided energy audit services for the affordable housing industry, a service that is required by the federal government (24 CFR 965.302)
1990
During the mid to late 1990s, through the formation and implementation of the ENERGY STAR program for above-code homes, these services gained prominence in the private sector.
2001
With Nelrod's vast experience in energy audit services for the affordable housing industry, it was an easy decision to expand our talents to the private sector. In early 2001, Fox Energy Specialists was formed to meet that growing need.
Today
Fox Energy Specialists has evolved into one of the country's premier home energy rating and independent third-party independent testing providers. Our firm has one of the most recognized brands in the industry and has been the recipient of numerous industry awards.
